I had mentioned in the last monthly update how I couldn’t even remember what we had done the previous month. To save myself some heartache on writing this, I saved all my weekly to-do lists for the month. It was a pretty awesome month, project-wise. The weather is warming up and that is allowing us to start on some outside projects after months of inside work (don’t be fooled though, still plenty to do inside). Here’s what we got done in April:

• Planted three trees (two plums (kids request) and a red bud tree)
• Designed, ordered, and picked up materials for Jim to build a custom desk set up in the office- much needed after a year+ working from home
• Screened in the back porch- a few little trim pieces needed, but 90% done! We have loved having this so far and I envision many dinners and time relaxing out here. The kitties have also enjoyed it.
• Started a garden by planting lettuce, carrot, sugar snap peas, and potatoes for Mr B’s garden
• Recovered from our vaccines by cleaning out and rearranging the garage

For May the focus is going to be more outside work (lots of yard work and gardening/planting) and work on the desk. I would also love to finish out the screened in porch so that’s at 100%- gotta keep those nasty cicadas out!
