House leveling up- June 2021
Mid-month updates are starting to become the norm. Sorry about that. I could have sworn I already wrote June’s update. June was our first full month of summer vacation and we really whoop’d it up. First up was Mr B’s 9th bday and all those festivities. Then went on a camping trip- in a tent! I haven’t done that since I was about Miss K’s age (middle school). I don’t really foresee us becoming a camping family but we’re glad the kids got the experience. And while camping, we went on a really awesome hike (which I think we are more of a hiking family) and went bowling (due to rain- boo) where I got 4 strikes in a row. I’ve gotten three in a row before (called a turkey) but I guess 4 in a row is called a ‘four bagger’- where do they come up with these terms?!
For the month of June:
- Installed outdoor speakers for our screened in porch!
- All camping prep (renting equipment, reserving a camp site, researching food and activities in the general area of our campsite)
- Took family and friends to 6 Flags for Mr B’s bday
- Began finish work on Jim’s new desk
- Lots of garden maintenance/chores
- Fixed all the squeaky doors in the house
- Power washed the screened in porch/patio/West side of house
- Unpacked boxes still leftover from our move almost 2 yrs ago (and still not even done!)
July will see more desk progress and the return to in person school for Mr B, along with other things that tend to crop up. July 2021 will mark two years in the new house which is really hard to believe but I blame the pandemic on warping my sense of time. See you next month!

Summer is a time to enjoy your new house and the time for adventure. Projects can wait until Fall when cooler. We would be happy to go to every two month posts if you prefer. Loved the enclosed screened in porch.
