House leveling up- October 2019
Sorry for the delay folks. Fall= crazy. Also time change is kicking my butt.
Ugh. Fall. It’s so beautiful and so.stinkin.busy. I feel like we didn’t get very much done this month. But what we did accomplish is still moving us in the right direction. Our focus has been on getting the house ready for winter.
- Finished siding on garage, breezeway, and back door area
- Installed shelves in the 1st floor linen closet
- Unpacked like 8 or 9 boxes of books
- Installed hooks for backpacks
- Went on our “Safety Reward family trip” to Wisconsin Dells
- Began work on furring out, sheathing, and siding the gable ends
- Began work on installing soffits and fascia on the house
- Installed three large windows in breezeway thanks to a helpful friend
- Had our first fire in the fireplace!!!
- Hung two closet doors
- Installed shelves in storage closet
Now we’ll have to figure out what to do about November. It’s a mad dash to the holidays and I have no idea what will get done as the outside work is so weather dependent and the inside work feels like it can wait until it’s “truly winter”.
