House leveling up- September 2019

Well August was our first month in the house. And we definitely slowed down on our progress compared to before we moved in. But slow and steady wins the race so bit by bit we’re getting there. But here is what we WERE able to accomplish this month:

  • We got our car into the garage!!!
  • We finished the hardwood floors in the dining room
  • Hosted our first BBQ with friends
  • Hung temporary blinds in several rooms
  • Installed siding on the back of the breezeway, the balcony, and the last side of the garage
  • Had our patio poured, stamped and stained/sealed
  • The dumpster was taken away (making us look less like a construction site)
  • Installed the hardwood floors in the hallway upstairs
Finished hardwood in upstairs hallway
Finished floor, very unfinished stairs

Fall is often a very busy time for us. The kids have a school break, Jim travels for a work conference every fall, and many activities seem to pile into the fall season but I’m pleasantly surprised what we’ve gotten done. Hopefully October will also be a productive month as we would like to get some things done before ‘winter’ and the holidays.

  1. The flooring looks great, good that you finished most of the outside work. I like the new patio as well.
